Some of my favourite things:

• C (my companion of 15 years)
• my mother, now that we have got through very difficult decades to become dearest friends, for giving me life, for unconditional love and for just being the unique person she is
• long time friends, whether near or far, and special individuals in my extended family
• creativity, a central part of my life for decades
• where I live, how grateful I am to be part of the magnificent nature and landscape of this area of Australia, on which this city rests
• the Pacific Ocean, in which I sometimes get to dip my bare feet
• walking, when I can do it with my dodgy legs
• the quiet of night and the magic of dawn and dusk
• nature and the cosmos in general
• my GP of ten years, my psychiatrist of three and my psychologist of one
• my local village where people are often friendly and up for a smile and a little chat, which helps me feel connected to wider society and flies in the face of my lifelong social anxieties
• friends on the internet, especially on the forum, where I can most be myself
• the local mental health community, which I've become slowly more connected to over the past three years
• my computer
• vita brits, my comfort food
• my second-hand, somewhat worse-for-wear armchair, the only truly comfortable chair I have ever sat in
• Star Trek!

@Former-Member Yes blackheads .... my mother has an enormous one on her eyebrow which I have been watching now for months ..... I would love to get my fingers on that one but she refuses dammit !!

Instead I have to settle with son2's of which there are many 🙂

@Smc oh cool you found a blue tounge lizard they are pretty cool!
i didnt know you were an art lover too, its one of my favourite things and something that brings me alot of comfort too.

@Shaz51 you cant really ever go wrong with a cup of tea and 10 minutes to yourself can you. I like sitting outside with a cuppa when its raining, generally watching the raindrops makes puddles and ripple in the water.

some of my favourite or things that bring comfort are:
-music
-arts and crafts with a new favourite being crochet and scrapbooking of a sort
- my car
- most animals
- flowers
- and last but definently not least is the forums and my amazingly wonderful friends ive made here

today i was able to bring about some comfort by having a really helpful conversation with some members here and knowing that im not alone in what im struggling with
