Hi all- am back from my trip to the parents' place. 🙂

Hi @Janiee, nice to meet you. We've got a few here keen on music. @Appleblossom is a singer. I play violin, viola and sing... not professionally, but competently enough. I enjoy camping, crosswords and reading, but don't get to doing any of them often enough nowadays.

@Faith-and-Hope, glad to hear that the art course is doing you so much good. I started doing my ceramics study as "self care", but found I had enough passion and skill that it was worth considering it a career option. Maybe one day it will be so again.

I was never much good at keeping up with the visual diary side of things. 😛 But then, most of the class would be playing catchup with their diaries in the week before assesment. I think that may have been partially because ceramics is a 3D artform, and while being competent in 2D art does benefit the general artistic quality of 3D work, it's harder to make it connect directly to it. Most of my development work was more in the form of the little "kiln fillers" that I'd make to try out new ideas- forms, textures, glazes. Oooh, I had fun with those!

Things like this little bowl. It's maybe 3-4 cms across. Doll house sized. 😄 Fits in any tiny leftover corner in the kiln, and I got to try out a glaze and texture combination that worked very nicely on a full sized piece at a later date.

Hi @Smc. I'd love to be able to play an instrument or sing, but unfortunately I have absolutely no talent lol. I just have to listen, enjoy and sing very loudly and badly lol.

We are hoping to get away camping soon, so fingers crossed.
